Summer Staples
It’s really me, so thrilled to be putting out a post for you. When I debuted this rebranded Chez Vetiver site a couple of months ago, I vowed to send out a dispatch of discoveries weekly. While I’m not one to Glorify busyness, I have to confess that May got ahold of me with its unrelenting pace, then June picked up the baton, and I’m just now (while blissfully in foils) able to send a little something.
This month I’ve had the pleasure of devoting a robust amount of time to clients of Vetiver ARts & Writing, my copywriting, consulting, and narration firm if you’re not familiar. Recently I’ve had a hand in fun projects like FLEUR Home and Aerin’s divine mirror collaboration, Atlanta’s soon-to-open Gather’d Market launch planning, and Aesthetic Atelier’s elegant brand messaging to name a few. If you or someone you know needs copywriting, I’d love to hear from you.
Here are a handful of items that have enlivened summer as I work quite a bit and mother even more.
Cordless lamp pair: How Did I live without these little numbers? They’ve become an integral part of my morning routine, offering a diffused glow as I do my skincare routine and workout while the rest of the house is still sleeping. Then come evening, it sets a calming tone as a reading lamp on my nightstand. This color blends right in with any decor. Under $50 for a pair.
Salt & Stone Natural Deodorant: MY family had an intervention with me last summer when I tried out another natural deodorant so, naturally, I didn’t want to be taken to task again but curiosity prevailed. Salt & Stone is magic, I promise. I’ve put it to the test with public speaking, inferno-like temperatures, and high-intensity workouts. Use code chezvetiver15 for 15% off at checkout. $20.
Nonstick Cookware: Sitting down for breakfast is a ritual in our home, I make the works every morning and that always includes eggs (a la francaise, sunny side up, over easy) which means my nonstick pans must be a workhorse. These green Pan ones are the best, practical and lovely to look at while you’re cooking and doing dishes. On sale for $80 for all three (!).
Growth Factor Serum: I’m sure you know that we’re all supposed to be dabbling in growth factors that stimulate platelet-rich plasma, no? MD recommended, I have loved this lightweight metacine serum that does just that. It layers like a dream and I’ve noticed a difference in tighter, brighter skin. $200.
Caftan O’Clock: This is the hero outfit of the summer, a super light linen tunic dress to wear by day with sandals or by night with dazzling baubles. I have worn it about seven times in the last month! Under $350.
Table Water Bottles: Adding a little bistro ambiance to your table comes easy with these nifty glass bottles. We use them for al fresco dining and keep a couple chilled in the fridge for quick weeknight dinners. $33 for six.
Chldren’s Everyday Lotion: More time in chlorine means my children’s eczema-prone, sensitive skin is on the verge of a rash at any moment. Tubby Todd has saved our skin woes for years and their everyday lotion travels with us everywhere. The all over ointment clears up any signs of inflammation for a more targeted approach and is always in the toiletry bag too. $17.
Cheeky Cocktail Napkins: Who doesn’t love sculpture? These House of Gleason conversation starters are perfect for gifting and serving with during the season when shirts are optional. Under $50.
